Orange Business Services, a brand of France Telecom (News - Alert) and a leading telecommunications operator, reportedly announced complete cloud computing services, from infrastructure to real-time business applications.

Complete cloud computing solutions offered by Orange leverage its cloud-ready network ensuring rapid scalability with full security and end-to-end service level agreements, company officials said.
“Our full lifecycle approach allows us to provide our customers with step-by-step guidance during their transition to cloud-based services, accommodating hybrid models, which are the most suitable for many enterprises,” officials at Orange said.
Orange Business Services (News - Alert) has already rolled out successful cloud services, such as IT Plan and Flexible Computing. The company also plans to launch a dozen of new cloud computing services in the next two years.
Some of the areas of cloud computing that Orange will be offering include real-time applications, collaboration, security, infrastructure, cloud-ready networking and vertical solutions for specific industries.
Officials at Orange said while Internet-class cloud computing brings cost reduction and scalability, it also delivers very little visibility on security and can generate performance issues. However, within the Orange cloud, they deliver and manage all business critical applications and IT infrastructure as a service, with a one-stop-shop approach. The complete, end-to-end solutions provide customers with usage-based pricing and self-service through a user-friendly portal.
“Operating cloud computing services is in our DNA,” Barbara Dalibard, president and CEO, Orange Business Services, said in a statement. “The network is the cloud, and our experience and expertise in network and communications services place us in the best position to deliver high performance cloud computing services to support our customers’ transformation.”
Orange’s cloud platform is supported by a strong cloud portfolio and 150 cloud computing specialists. In addition to managing 12,000 servers for enterprise customers, they can design, build and operate private clouds for large multinational companies, the company said.
In October, Orange Business Services forged partnership with Cisco to offer managed unified communications and collaboration services to companies in Latin America, TMCnet reported.
Under this partnership, Orange supports enterprise customers in Latin America with three managed services –Cisco Unified Communications, a managed end-to-end Cisco (News - Alert) TelePresence offer, and a Web collaboration service through Cisco WebEx – for Cisco.
